Takedown request
If a track on Openwaves uses your work without permission, tell us here. You do not need a lawyer or any special form of words — just the track, who you are, and why you believe your rights are infringed.
How the process works
- We review every notice. A person reads your claim and compares it against the track and its history.
- We may remove the track. If the claim holds up, the track comes off the catalog and out of the API.
- Uploader declarations are on record. Everyone who uploads to Openwaves declares, at upload time, that they hold the rights to publish the track under its license. Those declarations are stored permanently, with a timestamp — so a false declaration is the uploader’s responsibility, and we can show exactly what they claimed.
- We reply either way. You will hear back at the email you provide, whether we remove the track or not.
